LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host a Facebook Live drawing at 10 a.m. Nov. 5, to announce the winners of the Family and Community Fishing Program’s fall tagged catfish promotion. In addition to the prize packs already received by people who have turned in their tag from fish caught in FCFP ponds, the AGFC will be giving away three half-day fishing trips for two on Beaver Lake, complements of J.T. Crappie Guide Services.

“We’re excited about this partnership and promotion for our anglers,” Maurice Jackson, Family and Community Fishing Program coordinator for the AGFC, said. “It’s a great way to get people out fishing and offers some the chance to learn more about the other fishing opportunities available throughout the state.”

“In any of our tagged fish promotions, anglers are welcome to keep the catfish or release it, but keep that tag and send it to us for a prize,” Jackson said.

Anglers who still have tags that need to be mailed in have until Oct. 31 to make it in time for the drawing.

“After that, we can’t guarantee your name will be in the hat when it’s time to draw, so get those tags in if you want a shot to win,” Jackson said.
