Commission approves updated CWD management plan

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission unanimously approved an update to the agency’s official Chronic Wasting Disease Management and Response Plan at today’s meeting. The meeting was condensed to a single day and conducted via teleconferencing software because of impassable roads throughout much of the state. Commission authorizes new boat access to Bayou Bartholomew

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission unanimously approved at today’s regularly scheduled meeting the use of Marine Fuel Tax funds to build a boat ramp to Bayou Bartholomew at its intersection with Arkansas Highway 277 in Drew County.

Printed permits required for Camp Robinson WMA turkey hunts

LITTLE ROCK — Officials at Camp Joseph T. Robinson Maneuver Training Center are asking all hunters who drew a Camp Robinson Wildlife Management Area turkey permit hunt to use paper copies of their drawn permit for the upcoming season instead of electronic copies on their smartphones.

Hunting agreement reached between AGFC, Camp Robinson

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and Arkansas National Guard recently revised their memorandum of understanding to continue hunting access at a portion of Camp Robinson in Pulaski County. The new agreement will reduce the amount of land accessible to hunters and anglers, but will still maintain a sizeable area within easy reach of central Arkansas.
