Youths experience squirrel, raccoon hunting at AYSSP getaway

CASSCOE – Six youths from towns throughout the state were able to enjoy a weekend of squirrel and coon hunting, trap shooting and more thanks to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports Program.

Many anglers only target crappie in spring, but good fishing for Arkansas’s most sought after panfish can be had all year. CASSCOE - Four mobility-impaired Arkansas hunters were able to fill their deer tags last weekend, thanks to a special hunt provided by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation and the Dale Bumpers White River National Wildlife Refuge.
