LITTLE ROCK — Joe Morgan, the vice-chairman of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, died Saturday morning from complications of pulmonary fibrosis. He was 76 years old.
Rob Finley appointed new Arkansas Game and Fish Commissioner

LITTLE ROCK — Governor Asa Hutchinson announced Friday the appointment of Rob Finley of Mountain Home to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Finley will fill the seat of Commissioner Ken Reeves of Harrison, who will end his term at the end of June.

HARRISON — Every Arkansas Game and Fish Commissioner in recent years, it seems, has had to deal with some major, unexpected situation during his one year as chairman. For Ken Reeves, his year leading the commission was affected by a worldwide crisis that arrived this spring and affected every aspect of Arkansans’ lives, and saw the agency headquarters and other offices such as nature centers around the state temporarily shuttered.

FLIPPIN — Forrest Wood, founder of Ranger Boats and former Arkansas Game and Fish Commissioner, died Saturday at Baxter Regional Medical Center. He was 87. Keith Daffron, Wood’s oldest grandson, posted to social media that “Peacefully, with his family by his side, Forrest L. Wood of Flippin passed away on Jan. 25, 2020 in his 87th year.”
Commission takes town hall to Stuttgart

STUTTGART — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will hold an open town hall-style meeting from 6 to 8 p.m., Nov. 20, at Grand Prairie Center in Stuttgart. The public is invited to come and ask the Commissioners questions and learn more information about the agency’s work. The auditorium is at the Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas, 2807 U.S. Highway 165.
