AGFC, partners stock more than 12.5 million fish in 2021

LITTLE ROCK — Anglers wetting a line in the waters of The Natural State have a lot of fishing, and fish, to look forward to. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, along with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service trout hatcheries and other partners, delivered more than 12.5 million fish to Arkansas waters during 2021.

John Bannister caught this nice brown trout fishing the Spring River in northeast Arkansas. Bannister was using an El Diablo XL fly while fishing with Spring River guide Mark Crawforda little over a week ago.

Tyler Murphy hooks and tries to bring in a white bass while fishing with his dad, Ron Murphy, and Millwood Lake Guide Service in a recent trip. The Murphyes, from New Mexico, boated over 33 white bass in a few hours of fishing on Millwood.
