Hunting dog care featured on Arkansas Wildlife Podcast

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas Wildlife Host Trey Reid with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission spent some time at the recent Delta Waterfowl Duck Hunters Expo digging up details on how hunters can take better care of their best hunting partner. Visit with Reid and  sporting dog veterinarian Jonathan Bradshaw to learn how to make sure your dog is ready for this hunting season.

AGFC Commissioner, staff recognized for contribution to hunter recruitment program

LITTLE ROCK — Members of Delta Waterfowl, a nonprofit organization focused on the conservation of waterfowl and the pursuit of waterfowl hunting, might just find a few familiar names in the 2022 Annual Hunt issue of the organization’s magazine. Commissioner Anne Marie Doramus of Little Rock and Luke Naylor, the newly promoted Arkansas Game and Fish Commission chief of wildlife management, were both featured for their work in Delta’s innovative hunter recruitment effort, the University Hunting Program.

Jackson, Naylor earn national acclaim

Two biologists with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission received high praise from national waterfowl conservation organization Delta Waterfowl during a special Champions of Delta Luncheon Saturday at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. Luke Naylor, AGFC chief of wildlife management, and Jason “Buck” Jackson, AGFC Wetlands Program coordinator, were honored with Delta Waterfowl’s Conservation Leader Award for spearheading the AGFC’s Waterfowl Rice Incentive Conservation Enhancement Program, a new effort to increase flooded rice on the landscape and offer increased hunting opportunities on managed lands.
