With every hunter carrying a phone to the field, it’s always great to download your own copy and have it at the ready no matter where you go.

Add duck habitat without farming loss at AGFC workshop

STUTTGART — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host an open workshop from 9 a.m.-noon on Oct. 7 at Hampton Farms (239 Lodges Corner Rd., Stuttgart, AR) for anyone interested in learning how to increase duck abundance on their property without cutting the efficiency of their farming operation.

Arkansas hunting injuries hit 13-year low

LITTLE ROCK — According to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s recently released “2023 Hunting Incident Report,” Arkansas hunters last year reported the fewest number of hunting accidents requiring medical attention since 2010. Sixteen incidents were recorded, including two resulting in fatalities.

2023 Arkansas duck stamp unveiled

LITTLE ROCK — The 2023 Arkansas duck stamp was unveiled Aug. 26 during the 32nd annual Arkansas Outdoor Hall of Fame Banquet. The unveiling was witnessed by a record-breaking crowd of 1,800 gathered at the Little Rock Convention Center.

Duck numbers drop in breeding grounds

LITTLE ROCK – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service released its report on the 2023 Waterfowl Population Status late last week, and the numbers of ducks slid from 2022’s estimate, with drop attributed to extremely dry habitat conditions on the breeding grounds of Canada and the northernmost U.S.
