AGFC honors 20 during awards banquet

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission honored 20 wildlife officers for their dedicated service to the natural resources and the people of Arkansas during its Fifth Annual Enforcement Awards Banquet in Little Rock yesterday. The banquet recognizes officers from across the state who have gone above and beyond the call of duty during the previous year.

Wildlife officers throughout Arkansas and the United States are gearing up for Operation Dry Water – a weekend of increased enforcement throughout the nation to prevent instances of boating under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This year’s Operation Dry Water runs June 30 through July 2.

Rae takes reigns of Enforcement Division

Greg Rae was promoted today to colonel to lead the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Enforcement Division. He succeeds Pat Fitts, who recently was promoted to assistant deputy director at the agency.
