Greenbrier, Beebe ponds join AGFC Family and Community Program roster

LITTLE ROCK – Two locations have been added to the lineup of ponds in the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Family and Community Fishing Program, bringing the total number of ponds statewide to 49. Also, a new Geographic Information System mapping tool has been added to the AGFC’s website that will make it easy to find all 49 statewide ponds.

LITTLE ROCK – Anglers looking for a new favorite fishing location can find their way to a good catch with the help of downloadable fish attractor locations available at the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s website at www.agfc.com/fishattractors. Biologists and information professionals have worked together to list all known fish attractor locations placed by the AGFC in the last decade.
 

Lake Chicot receives new plumbing for fish

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Fisheries staff have spent the last three weeks chopping and fitting PVC pipes to improve Lake Chicot, but they aren’t concerned with how the water is flowing. The PVC is being used to create complex fish attractors to sink at strategic points in the lake to offer anglers places where fish are likely to congregate.
