The Wild Science Webinar is a monthly series featuring Arkansas Game and Fish Commission staff presenting research and projects about Arkansas fish and wildlife. Jennifer Ballard, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Veterinarian, will talk about health in conservation with topics on Avian Influenza and health effects of ticks. Jon Stein, AGFC Fisheries District Supervisor, will talk about the Enhancement of Beaver Lake Fish Habitat.

ROGERS — The AGFC and Hook, Line and Sinker Outdoors are looking for volunteers interested in improving the fishing at Beaver Lake in Northwest Arkansas. They will host another round of Beaver Lake Habitat days Friday and Saturday, Oct, 14-15 to sink trees in the upper end of the lake in the Joe Creek area.

Naylor steps into lead wildlife role in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK – Luke Naylor of Conway has been selected to lead the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Wildlife Management Division, overseeing all game and nongame conservation efforts by the agency as well as public access for hunting and outdoor recreation. He replaces Brad Carner, who was promoted to AGFC Deputy Director during the AGFC’s May 19 Commission meeting.
