Renovation complete on Nimmo Access to Little Red River

SEARCY – The construction of a new boat ramp on the Little Red River near Henry Gray Hurricane Lake WMA was completed Sept. 20 and is now open for use in this popular fishing and hunting area in north-central Arkansas.

Arkansas public access to benefit from modernized Marine Fuel Tax Program

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission unanimously approved at today’s regularly scheduled meeting a minute order authorizing AGFC Director Austin Booth to sign an agreement with the Arkansas Department of Transportation to update the existing Marine Fuel Tax program to enhance public boating access to The Natural State’s waters.

AGFC, TNC add 1,165 acres of outdoor opportunity in south Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK — Thanks to a $1.35 million Recovery Land Acquisition Grant from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commision authorized Director Austin Booth to complete the acquisition of 1,165 acres adjacent to Beryl Anthony Lower Ouachita Wildlife Management Area at today’s meeting at the Arkansas State University Alumni Center. The Union County property, which is being purchased from The Nature Conservancy, will be added to the AGFC’s WMA system, adding even more public access for hunters, anglers and other outdoor recreationists in south Arkansas.

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission authorized AGFC Director Pat Fitts today to sign memorandums of agreement with the Lawrence County Conservation District and Flat Creek Watershed Improvement District to improve water delivery to flood Shirey Bay Rainey Brake Wildlife Management Area in northeast Arkansas.

Commission authorizes new boat access to Bayou Bartholomew
