Women’s outdoor weekend heads to Northwest Arkansas

HUNTSVILLE — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host a special Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshop at the Ozark Natural Science Center in Huntsville Nov. 1-3. The weekend-long workshop has enough room for 60 women to attend and learn about wildlife, hiking, hunting and angling in The Natural State. AGFC receives Walton Family Foundation grant for Springdale nature center construction

BENTONVILLE – A grant from the Walton Family Foundation has been awarded to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. The $980,000 grant will be used to help pay for construction of the state’s newest nature center currently under construction in Springdale.

SPRINGDALE — Construction of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s latest nature center will begin next week. Contracts were signed last week with Branco Enterprises of Neosho, Mo., to begin construction of the center located in Springdale.
