AGFC trout fishing winners announced

LITTLE ROCK — William Robinson of Rogers today was announced as the winner of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s 2022-23 winter tagged trout promotion. He will receive a free half-day guided fishing trip on the White River for up to six anglers, including a free night’s stay at White River Family Fishing of Arkansas’s lodge and a traditional shore lunch fish fry on the river during the day of angling.

LITTLE ROCK – Winter’s last gasp may keep some frogs quiet during the night this week, but bullfrogs should be sounding off at night again soon, and frog-gigging fanatics will be back to chasing them on ponds and lakes throughout Arkansas. Bullfrog season opened April 15 and will run through Dec. 31.
Greenbrier, Beebe ponds join AGFC Family and Community Program roster

LITTLE ROCK – Two locations have been added to the lineup of ponds in the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Family and Community Fishing Program, bringing the total number of ponds statewide to 49. Also, a new Geographic Information System mapping tool has been added to the AGFC’s website that will make it easy to find all 49 statewide ponds.

AGFC farm pond workshop available in Southwest Arkansas

MURFREESBORO — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will hold a special workshop for landowners on how to manage their farm ponds for fish at a free workshop at the in Murfreesboro from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 18. The meeting will be held in the Murfreesboro City Hall Community Room at 204 East Main Street.
AGFC fishing events hook more than 45,000 anglers in 2018

ASU Pond Joins Family and Community Fishing Program

JONESBORO – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Family and Community Fishing Program has added more access to fishing for northeast Arkansas residents. ASU Pond, south of Centennial Bank Stadium on the campus of Arkansas State University, will be stocked monthly a minimum of eight times a year as part of the program, according to FCFP director Maurice Jackson.
