Renovation in full swing at Earl Buss Bayou DeView WMA

WEINER – Greentree reservoirs in Earl Buss Bayou DeView Wildlife Management Area in Poinsett County are getting the full attention of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and Ducks Unlimited with major renovation work planned over two phases. Phase One began in early June with heavy machinery bringing in modern infrastructure to be installed in the WMA’s Thompson Tract GTR.

MAMMOTH SPRING — Arkansas Game and Fish Commissioners yesterday celebrated a successful partnership with trout anglers to begin a major renovation to the Jim Hinkle Spring River Fish Hatchery today in Fulton County. The hatchery is the only state-owned fish hatchery in Arkansas devoted to the production of trout.
White Oak is white hot for bass

CAMDEN — Stephen Tyson Jr. nearly called his shot on the timing when double-digit fish would start to show at Lower White Oak Lake in Ouachita County. He’d been gradually catching bigger and bigger fish on the lake during the last few years, and this March, he finally connected with a true 10-pounder in the recently renovated lake.

HARRISBURG — The shovels may be done turning dirt at Lake Poinsett, but biologists are still busy laying the foundation for good fishing in the newly renovated lake in Poinsett County. Last week, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission stocked thousands of baitfish into the waters of the refilling lake in an effort to produce a fantastic fishery in the coming years.
