Add duck habitat without farming loss at AGFC workshop

STUTTGART — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host an open workshop from 9 a.m.-noon on Oct. 7 at Hampton Farms (239 Lodges Corner Rd., Stuttgart, AR) for anyone interested in learning how to increase duck abundance on their property without cutting the efficiency of their farming operation.

LITTLE ROCK — Representatives from Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Ducks Unlimited, the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation, the Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus and USA Rice stood in unison with Gov. Asa Hutchinson today to announce the passage of House Concurrent Resolution 1014 in support of efforts to boost waterfowl and waterfowl habitat in The Natural State.

Press conference for House Concurrent Resolution 1014. The resolution emphasizes the value of waterfowl, rice agriculture, waterfowl hunting and waterfowl habitat to the state’s economy. The press conference will be on the Arkansas State Capitol front steps, 500 Woodlane in Little Rock. Gov. Asa Hutchinson will be attending the press conference.

LITTLE ROCK — Hunting opportunities on the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s newly expanded Waterfowl Rice Incentive Conservation Enhancement program will officially begin with white-fronted goose opportunities on Nov. 14-15. Applications for these draw hunt opportunities on private rice fields will be accepted Nov. 5-8.
