More than $678,000 available for wildlife conservation education grants in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK - The Arkansas Economic Development Commission Division of Rural Services has announced the Wildlife Conservation Education Grants Program application period is open now through Oct. 4. More than $678,000 is available for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019. Funds for these grants come from fines collected by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
 

More than $531,600 in wildlife violations fines distributed to conservation education efforts throughout Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK -- The Arkansas Economic Development Commission’s Division of Rural Services has awarded grants totaling $531,602 to promote wildlife education and improve school conservation programs to 253 schools and conservation districts in 71 Arkansas counties. The grant program is funded by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission through fines collected from hunting and fishing violations.
