PONCA — Arkansas Game and Fish Commissioners at today’s meeting authorized AGFC Director Austin Booth to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the city of Clarksville and the University of the Ozarks to construct a new shooting sports complex. The proposed range will be open to the public and complement the university’s growing collegiate shooting sports program.
AGFC, AEDC offer $713,000 from poaching fines to Arkansas schools

LITTLE ROCK – Nearly three-quarters of a million dollars is available for Arkansas schools this year, thanks to a partnership between the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission’s Division of Rural Services to turn poaching violations into education opportunities.

Firing line hot at Scatter Creek range

PARAGOULD — Recreational shooters and hunters can now find an upgraded experience at William E. Brewer Scatter Creek Wildlife Management Area after the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission recently completed a $175,000 renovation to the Jack Cox Firing Range on the site. The range was closed for the renovation in March and reopened just in time for last week’s Independence Day holiday.

JACKSONVILLE — The Five Rivers Trap Club team from Pocahontas worked their way through a grueling competition in today’s heat at today’s senior division state championship event of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Youth Shooting Sports Program at the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation Jacksonville Shooting Sports Complex.
