Celebrate National Shooting Sports Month with special discounts at the AGFC’s firing range

MAYFLOWER — The Dr. James E. Moore Jr. Camp Robinson Firing Range will hold a variety of special offers to its patrons throughout August to celebrate National Shooting Sports Month. Range staff have prepared a variety of promotions to get people off the couch and on the range to prepare for this year’s hunting seasons.

LITTLE ROCK – August is “National Shooting Sports Month” and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will be participating in the event at both the Dr. James E. Moore Jr. Camp Robinson Firing Range in Mayflower and the Rick Evans Grandview Prairie Shotgun Range near Hope.

Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports regional tournaments begin April 27

JACKSONVILLE – Student athletes from across Arkansas will gather at the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation Shooting Sports Complex in Jacksonville each weekend, beginning April 27, to take their shots at the regional and state championship tournaments of the Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports Program.
 

$2 million Federal grant for Jonesboro range project approved

JONESBORO – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has secured a $2 million grant from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to be used in the construction of a new shooting sports complex for northeast Arkansas.

Westside teams sweep junior, senior divisions in East Regional

In less than ideal conditions because of off-and-on rain, Weston Adcock was a perfect 50-for-50 for the Jonesboro Westside Senior Red team, helping his squad edge the Gosnell Trap Team Trap Hogs for the East Region title in Saturday’s Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports Program competition at the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation Shooting Range in Jacksonville.

Sun shines bright on Crossett, Hamburg beats rain in South Region

After battling springtime elements and heavy wind during the first two regionals, plus being lightly rained on for 20 minutes last Friday for the junior division in the South Regional, the weather finally cleared up nicely for the Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports Program’s regional competition Saturday at the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation Shooting Sports Complex in Jacksonville.
