Richard Reeves and his son, Daniel, from Walls,Mississippi, landed some Greers Ferry Lake walleye while fishing with guide Tommy Cauley recently. Tommy says that if you can find them, walleye will eat on nightcrawlers and crankbaits in 10-25 feet of water at Greers Ferry Lake.

Vaughn Greenway and Daniel Romine teamed to catch five largemouth bass totalling 15.11 pounds, including a 5.48-pound Big Bass, in the Tuesday Night Black Bass fishing tournament out of WestRock Landing at Lake Maumelle this week. The tournament was expected to be postponed a week because of Central Arkansas Water's closure to boat access this week, but CAW reopened the lake earlier than expected after treatment of hydrilla on Monday.

Roger Fisher lived up to his surname, landing his personnel best largemouth bass on a creek off Norfork Lake last weekend while kayak fishing. The fish was 19.5 inches long and 5 pounds, caught in about 2 feet of water on a white Rooster Tail. Roger and his nephew, Andy Bell, found largemouths feeing on bait balls in the creek and landed a bunch; Roger also caught two at one time on a square bill.

Percy Marshall, a Graduate Student from the Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville will be presenting "The Egyptian Goose: Tracking an Invasion" and Joe Adams, Hatchery Manager, will be presenting "An Overview of Methods Used at the C.B. "Charlie" Craig State Fish Hatchery to Spawn and Culture Walleye".

Mike and Sam Sumrow of Joliet, Illinois, landed this nice 15.5-inch crappie on Tuesday as part of their haul fishing Norfork Lake in north Arkansas. Lou Gabric of Hummingbird Hideaway Resort and a regular contributor to the Fishing Report, related that Sam started fishing Norfork Lake as a youngster with her parents. Now she visits twice a year with her husband, Mike. On Wednesday, Sam was able to land her first striped bass as an adult. “They are both really excited and are having a blast,” Lou said.

This young angler is 10-year-old Corbin (no last name provided) from Texas, who lassoed this impressive 21-inch rainbow out of the Beaver Dam Tailwater in northwest Arkansas while fishing with guide Austin Kennedy. Corbin was fishing with chartreuse Fire Eggs. That's a memory he'll never forget.

Millwood Lake in southwestern Arkansas is widely known for behemoth largemouth bass, but anglers lately have found some behemoth crappie, too. Eddie McPherson from near Greenbrier landed this serious slab, while his friend Jim Elliot took the picture as they fished with guide Mike Siefert last week.
