Description

Brewer Lake is the main drinking water supply for about 20,000 people in Conway County as well as another 60,000 people in and around the City of Conway in Faulkner County. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers created the lake in 1983 by damming Cypress Creek. Operation and maintenance of the lake was turned over to the Conway Corporation the year it was built. Brewer Lake is a popular fishing destination for many residents of Conway and surrounding towns. Crappie and bass fishing are popular, as is catfishing. The shoreline has many flooded willow trees, which make for excellent bream fishing in late spring and early summer, when the bream are on the beds.
