Description

Lake Des Arc provides sportsmen and women with an easily accessible place to fish, camp, and hunt. The lake has good populations of largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, and bream, with stockings of bass, catfish, and crappie occurring in the last several years. AGFC has completed habitat projects on the lake using various PVC structures, and these structures are marked with GPS coordinates and are available to the public through the Commission website. Boaters should use caution when running through the lake off of the main creek channel as there are many submerged stumps that are hazardous. The lake has a handful of campsites along the shore, however no power hookups are available. Deer, squirrel, and waterfowl hunting are allowed on the lake and the WMA.
