- Description
Lake Dunn provides a number of opportunities for anglers. While it was not set up originally as a trophy bass fishery like Lake Austell, it did produce a state record in 2012. That record was soon thrown out due to illegal harvest, however anglers can still find themselves landing bigger fish. In the past, stockings have occurred providing additional crappie, bream, bass, catfish and shad. Most recently, stocking has been comprised of just catfish, giving anglers the possibility of hooking into a large one. The state park also offers campgrounds and lodging so visitors can prolong their fishing trip while enjoying other outdoor activities provided by the park.
