- Pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, women who are breast-feeding and children under the age of seven should not eat black bass (16 inches or longer) because of mercury contamination.
- Others should not eat black bass over 20 inches in length and limit their consumption of black bass 16-20 inches in length to two meals a month.
