AGFC Commissioner Meeting Notice

You are hereby notified that Commissioners of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will meet on the following dates and times to consider any business that may be brought before the Commission. Unless otherwise stated, meetings will be held at the AGFC offices, 2 Natural Resources Dr. in Little Rock.

If it weren’t for the bees, butterflies, bats and birds that tend to wild and agricultural plants, the food supply for humans as well as wildlife would simply stop. Many species of pollinators are seeing declines from changes in land use and certain pesticides. Here are some ways you can celebrate National Pollinator Week this June 21-27 and help reverse the trend.

Operation Dry Water promotes increased safety during holiday weekend

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is asking that everyone enjoying a day on the water during the Independence Day weekend to enjoy themselves responsibly and be aware of the dangers brought about by excessive drinking while aboard a boat. To help make the weekend safe, wildlife officers throughout Arkansas are gearing up for Operation Dry Water July 2-4. 

AGFC fishing event at Redfield City Park Pond

REDFIELD — Join the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for a fishing event at 9 a.m., June 26 as we celebrate the latest addition to the Family and Community Fishing Program, Redfield City Park. All anglers must register through the AGFC’s registration portal at www.register-ed.com/events/view/169207 to ensure enough space is available at the event.

Stewart, Upton win Commissioners’ Cup on Lake Ouachita

MT. IDA — Catching a five-fish limit totaling 13.99 pounds, recent Benton High School graduates Skyler Upton and Brayden Stewart claimed the Senior Division first-place prize at the third annual Commissioners’ Cup youth bass fishing tournament June 19 on Lake Ouachita.
