LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission approved a budget increase of $5.73 million today at its monthly meeting to cover the costs of several pressing projects.

Alligator permits drawn; private-land hunting available

Permits for hunting alligators on Arkansas's public land were drawn and awarded to 33 hunters, but those who want to hunt alligators on private land still have opportunities through the AGFC's quota system. The two weekends of the season are in September.
