AGFC offers additional opportunities for black bass angler input

LITTLE ROCK – Last week, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission launched a series of public forums to give Arkansas’s bass anglers an opportunity to provide input on the state’s latest Reservoir Black Bass Management Plan. Five of the 11 open-house style forums planned have been held so far, but AGFC biologists are adding an online survey form to hook into feedback from anglers who can’t make a meeting.

AGFC, AEDC offer more than $808,000 for education grants from wildlife fines

LITTLE ROCK – More than $808,000 is available for Arkansas schools and educators for conservation education grants in 2022-23, thanks to fine money derived from wildlife and fishing violations and a partnership between the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission’s Division of Rural Services.

Apply for a dove hunt by Aug. 15

Be sure to apply for one of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s 11 permit-based dove fields by Aug. 15 if you’re looking for a fun way to kick off hunting season this Labor Day Weekend. Applications are available at the AGFC’s licensing site https://ar-web.s3licensing.com under the “Special Hunt Applications” tab.

2022-23 Arkansas Hunting Guidebook available online

The latest edition of the Arkansas Hunting Guidebook is at the printer and will begin to appear in sporting goods stores throughout the state this month. You don’t have to wait to catch up on this year’s regulations.
