PINE BLUFF — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Gov. Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center is looking for a few new faces to add to the bowhunting community in Arkansas. A special year-long mentored hunt program is being offered to take beginners from learning how to shoot a bow and identify game and walk them through all the steps needed to be successful in the field.

Each year, birders and other wildlife-watching enthusiasts flock to wetlands during winter to catch a glimpse of these birds as they make their annual trip between nesting grounds in the North and warmer breeding grounds below the frost belt. And thanks to the habitat offered by waterfowl-focused programs in Arkansas, these birdwatchers have more than 3,800-acres of private land to enjoy their passion through the end of winter.
