LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will accept applications Jan. 15-Feb. 15 from hunters who want to hunt on many wildlife management areas during the 2021 Arkansas turkey season.

LITTLE ROCK – The 2020-21 Arkansas deer seasons are winding to a close with only late-season archery archers visiting the woods for some solitude and a last chance to harvest a deer before the season ends Feb. 28 deadline. Invasive plant threatens angling, hunting at Millwood Lake

ASHDOWN — Giant salvinia, a harmful aquatic plant, was discovered in Millwood Lake Monday, Dec. 28, by Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and Army Corps of Engineers staff. This is the fourth known location in southern Arkansas infected by the aquatic invasive species.

Monarch license plate pollinates conservation education in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission at its Dec. 10 meeting unveiled the artwork for the 2021 Conservation License Plate, a monarch butterfly. This is the 21st plate in the Conservation License Plate series, which contributes more than $1 million annually to conservation education, scholarships and internships in Arkansas.
