Graeme Shaw, who was visiting Arkansas from Missoula, Montana, earlier this month, caught this nice rainbow on the White River. He estimated it to be about 14 pounds and released it after this photo. "It's the biggest rainbow I've ever caught worldwide."

Justin Manning caught a nice largemouth bass on Lake Hamilton on Monday evening. Lake Hamilton has been turning out some really nice bass this year. 

AGFC announces plans to renovate Lake Conway

MAYFLOWER — Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Director Austin Booth announced official plans today to begin the renovation of Craig D. Campbell Lake Conway Reservoir. The plan includes replacing the lake’s aging spillway and will be the largest lake renovation project in the agency’s 108-year history.

AGFC breaking down barriers for fish habitat

MOUNTAIN HOME — Many people may not know that World Fish Migration Day was May 21, but that didn’t stop the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Stream Habitat Program from celebrating with a monumental effort. During May, the team was able to complete four stream barrier removal projects, restoring nearly 20 miles of connectivity to fragile warmwater stream ecosystems.

Richard Reeves and his son, Daniel, from Walls,Mississippi, landed some Greers Ferry Lake walleye while fishing with guide Tommy Cauley recently. Tommy says that if you can find them, walleye will eat on nightcrawlers and crankbaits in 10-25 feet of water at Greers Ferry Lake.
