Arkansas Game and Fish Commission approves 2020-21 hunting regulations changes

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission voted today to approve many changes to the Commission’s Code of Regulations, including many wildlife regulations that may impact hunters during the 2020-21 hunting seasons. The proposals were presented to the public through an online survey in March and were formally proposed to the Commission during its April 23 meeting.

LITTLE ROCK — Although the recent outbreak of COVID-19 and measures to combat it have changed the way the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has had to meet, conservation carries on. With the absence of a March meeting and an online-only meeting anticipated in April, AGFC staff have moved forward with a public comment survey to gather public input on changes needed for the 2020-21 hunting season.

Commission authorizes more than $554,000 for Arkansas boating access improvements

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission unanimously authorized $554,800 from the state’s Marine Fuel Tax program to be used for repairs and upgrades to boat ramps and access points throughout Arkansas at its meeting today.

BATESVILLE — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will hold a public meeting to discuss the recent discovery of chronic wasting disease in Independence County at the University of Arkansas Community College, Room 902 of the Nursing and Allied Health Building in Batesville at 6 p.m. Jan. 30. The college is at 2005 White Drive.
