CWD-positive deer found in Johnson County

CLARKSVILLE – Chronic wasting disease has been found in Johnson County. A hunter-harvested white-tailed deer harvested north of Clarksville recently tested positive for the disease, according to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

Drop-off locations available for CWD tests

LITTLE ROCK - The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has placed dozens of special drop-off containers for hunters to submit chronic wasting disease samples from their deer this year. Locations of these specially marked coolers and other CWD testing options are available at www.agfc.com/cwd.
 

Report road-killed deer to help AGFC monitor disease

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will be ramping up efforts at disease-monitoring surveys, beginning Sept. 17, and are asking motorists to help by reporting any road-killed deer they see along Arkansas’s roads and highways.
