AGFC and UAPB tune in to DeGray Lake hybrid bass

ARKADELPHIA – Hybrid striped bass are hard-pulling sport fish that have a reputation for being cooperative when bass and crappie become finicky. These man-made crosses of a white bass and their striped bass cousins also cause a bit of controversy between anglers who fish for them and those who prefer other species.

Massachusetts transplant claims top seat in Master Angler Program

FLIPPIN – When it comes to big fish, many anglers have a lot of tall tales. But one Arkansas angler can prove that he has more trophy-size fish under his belt than anyone. Last year, Roger Pyzocha, a Massachusetts native who now lives in Flippin caught his 23rd Arkansas fish that qualified for the AGFC’s Master Angler Program.

Angler input welcome at Upper White Oak Lake public meeting

CAMDEN - On Thursday, February 22, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host a public input meeting regarding fisheries management on Upper White Oak Lake. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the AGFC Camden Region Office at 500 Ben Lane in Camden.
