Leftover WMA Deer Hunt Permit sale August 4

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will sell 106 WMA Deer Hunt Permits that were left over after this year’s application and draw period this week. Permits will be available for purchase beginning 8 a.m., Friday, Aug. 4.

Commission approves renovation to Lake Conway, Martin passes gavel to Jones

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission heard and approved plans at Thursday’s regular meeting to begin the construction of a new spillway system at Craig D. Campbell Lake Conway Reservoir and the subsequent renovation of the 6,700-acre lake in central Arkansas.

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission today unanimously approved a change to the 2023-24 duck season dates to the traditional opener, the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Catfish regulation survey available

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is exploring the idea of enacting two regulations concerning trophy catfishing on the Mississippi River. A formal survey has been launched at www.agfc.com and will be available for comment until April 7 to measure public opinion on the two possible regulations changes.
