Comment on proposed Arkansas fishing regulations changes

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is asking for public comments on possible changes to fishing regulations for 2021. Changes to general fishing rules, rules for commercial anglers and fish farms are all being evaluated before the Fisheries Division formally proposes them to the Commission in August. The AGFC posted a survey to gather public input in May which will close July 17.
AGFC holds virtual roundtable on deer disease

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host a special virtual roundtable meeting with professionals in the wildlife management and veterinary fields to discuss management strategies and current science involving Chronic Wasting Disease beginning at 8:30 a.m. June 25. The virtual meeting will be streamed live on the AGFC’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/user/ArkansasGameandFish.

Turkey changes include new zones, season structure

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas turkey hunters will see some major changes in their season next April, all focused to help recover the state’s eastern wild turkey population, which has seen some concerning declines during the last decade.
