LITTLE ROCK — The 2020-21 Waterfowl Guidebook is at the printer and will be arriving in AGFC regional offices, nature centers and local sporting goods stores and license vendors soon. An electronic version also is available for those who want to carry a copy on their electronic device, or simply want to get a sneak peek at what’s new for the season.

To get your copy of the guidebook added directly to your phone, just visit agfc.com, and click “Download the 2020-21 Waterfowl Hunting Guidebook” on the front page. The Adobe Portable Document Format  (.pdf) file that downloads can be added to iBooks for iPhones or to the default reader for Android phones. 

Notable changes for waterfowl hunters this year include:

Waterfowl hunters in flooded timber

  • The scaup daily bag limit reduced to one.

  • White-fronted goose season dates were extended to Oct. 31-Nov. 16, Nov. 21-Dec. 4, and Dec. 6-Jan. 31, and daily the bag limit was reduced to two.

  • Harvest Information Program registration is available only at AGFC offices or at agfc.com.

  • All-day waterfowl hunting on certain WMAs is only available on the last day of regular duck season. 

  • On certain WMAs, no boats are allowed five days prior to regular duck season and during all duck season splits.

  • Hunters must be off the water by noon during duck season on Dave Donaldson Black River and George H. Dunklin Jr. Bayou Meto WMAs. Hunting ends at noon and hunters must be off the water by 1 p.m. on other waterfowl-focused WMAs.

  • Waterfowl hunting on the Red Cut Slough Tract of Cypress Bayou WMA is only allowed Tuesday and Thursdays and by online permit draw Saturdays and Sundays. 

  • Waterfowl hunting on Steve N. Wilson Raft Creek Bottoms WMA has changed to Tuesday and Thursday and by permit draw Saturdays and Sundays.
