AGFC takes family fun to West Memphis

LITTLE ROCK — Memorial Day weekend is synonymous with fun in the sun, fishing, and enjoying time on the water, but the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is warning everyone to steer clear of the Arkansas River this year, due to the massive amount of water being released from reservoirs throughout Oklahoma that have nearly reached capacity from spring rainfall.

Barton Junior High earns bid for top level of archery competition

Louisville, KY — Led by a fourth-place finish in the overall 8th grade girls competition by Millee Mobley, the Wildkittens of Barton Junior High placed 15th out of 275 middle school teams at the National Archery in the Schools National Competition last week. The high score qualifies the team to advance to the NASP Open and Championship, held in Nashville, Tennessee, July 25-27.
