Trophy Alligator Gar Permit application period opens Nov. 1

LITTLE ROCK – Anglers interested in hooking into a trophy of truly epic size can apply for a 2020 Alligator Gar Trophy tag beginning November 1.

Special Ozark Isle youth muzzleloader deer hunt announced

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is taking applications from youth hunters who would like to participate in a special muzzleloader deer hunt Dec. 14 and 15 in Ozark Isle Park/Dry Run area at Bull Shoals Lake. Eight permits will be issued to hunter education graduates 15-years-old and under. Applicants must submit a completed application form, including their hunter education identification number, by Nov. 8, 2019. A random drawing to select the hunters will be held at 10 a.m. at the Corps’ project office in Mountain Home, Arkansas on Nov. 12.

Apply for a once-in-a-lifetime youth deer hunt at Cooks Lake on Dale Bumpers White River NWR

CASSCOE - Dale Bumpers White River National Wildlife Refuge, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation will host a special hunting experience at Cook's Lake, Dec. 7-8, 2019. Applications for the hunt will be accepted through Oct. 20, 2019.

Three fields added to AGFC’s permit dove hunt lineup

LITTLE ROCK – Hunters looking for a private-land dove hunt this season will find their opportunities enhanced by an additional three locations and 82 more permits available each weekend in September through the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s drawn permit hunt system.
 

Twenty-Nine Arkansans draw elk hunting permits

JASPER – Twenty-nine Arkansans will have the hunt of a lifetime this fall as they chase elk on public land in The Natural State. Their names were chosen during the 22nd Annual Buffalo River Elk Festival in Jasper Saturday.
