First statewide youth and veterans waterfowl hunt this weekend

LITTLE ROCK – This Saturday marks the first time in Arkansas history that members of the armed services and veterans will have a special day in the wetlands chasing ducks and geese. The Special Active Duty Military and Veteran Waterfowl Hunt will take place alongside Arkansas’s Special Youth Waterfowl Hunt Dec. 7, 2019 and Feb. 8, 2020.

Celebrate the upcoming youth waterfowl hunt with a first duck certificates offered by AGFC

LITTLE ROCK — With the first statewide youth waterfowl hunt Saturday, Dec. 7, many first-time duck hunters will pull the trigger on their first mallard, pintail or other duck in Arkansas. Memorialize that unforgettable day in the outdoors with a My First Duck certificate from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

The timing of the subjects was on point as the meeting was sandwiched between the Commission’s Stuttgart Town Hall Meeting, where waterfowl were a key focus of the public, and the opening of duck season in The Natural State.
