Commission approves discounted licenses for disabled veterans, proposes relaxed seasons on predator species

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission voted unanimously to create a new Disabled Veteran Lifetime Combination License that would be available at a reduced rate for resident military veterans meeting certain criteria during today’s regularly scheduled meeting.
 

Reusable plastic card adds options for hunting and fishing license holders

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas hunters and anglers now have the option of carrying proof of their hunting and fishing license purchase on a special weather-resistant card, offered through the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s licensing system. The new plastic card license is available at licensning.agfc.com and is reusable each year.

LITTLE ROCK –Lorne Green’s work with Arkansas Game and Fish Commission greentree reservoirs through forest management earned the Warren native the George H. Dunklin Jr. Arkansas Waterfowl and Wetland Management Award, presented at the AGFC’s monthly commission meeting in March.

Ducks Unlimited honors Boozman, Ronquest for achievements in wetland conservation

DENVER – Two Arkansans were honored at Friday’s North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference by Ducks Unlimited for their work in promoting and conserving North America’s wetlands and waterfowl. Senator John Boozman and Jim Ronquest, producer of Rich-N-Tone videos, were recognized with two of the six awards DU presented.

Arkansas State Duck Stamp artwork unveiled at Arkansas Sportsman’s Caucus

LITTLE ROCK - The Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation unveiled the artwork to be used on the 2019-20 Arkansas State Duck Stamp at the Arkansas Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus luncheon in downtown Little Rock. The event was part of an update to state legislators on work the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and other partners are doing to improve and maintain the valuable natural resources of The Natural State.
