LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission wants to remind all hunters that all annual hunting licenses expire June 30.

STUTTGART - Former AGFC Commissioner W.R. “Witt” Stephens Jr. and former AGFC Biologist and Assistant Director Carl Hunter will be added into the Arkansas Waterfowler Hall of Fame in an induction ceremony September 23 at Chenal Country Club in Little Rock. Members of the 2020 class also will be recognized as COVID-19 forced the cancellation of last year’s event.
Commission pursues opportunity with ASU to expand Cypress Bayou Wildlife Management Area

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission voted unanimously at today’s meeting to authorize the agency’s director to enter into a 10-year cooperative agreement with Arkansas State University to manage a 160-acre tract bordering Cypress Bayou WMA in White County and allow public hunting access to that property under the current regulations of the wildlife management area.

LITTLE ROCK — There’s still time for Arkansas rice growers to apply to enroll their fields in the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Waterfowl Rice Incentive Conservation Enhancement program and earn as much as $150 per acre without impacting current production on their fields. Asa Hutchinson today to announce the passage of House Concurrent Resolution 1014 in support of efforts to boost waterfowl and waterfowl habitat in The Natural State.

Landowners may receive as much as $150 per acre annually while still maintaining the current production of rice fields. Applications are available at www.agfc.com/wrice and will be accepted until June 1.
Waterfowl support press conference at state capitol

Press conference for House Concurrent Resolution 1014. The resolution emphasizes the value of waterfowl, rice agriculture, waterfowl hunting and waterfowl habitat to the state’s economy. The press conference will be on the Arkansas State Capitol front steps, 500 Woodlane in Little Rock. Gov. Asa Hutchinson will be attending the press conference.
