LITTLE ROCK — Tens of thousands of young hunters will be hitting the field Nov. 5 and 6, and if they’re lucky they’ll be taking pictures wearing their hunter orange posing with their deer. Make sure the experience goes as smoothly as possible by ensuring that they have a customer ID number ready to check the deer in their name.

LITTLE ROCK — Hunters headed to deer camp to get things ready for opening weekend of modern gun deer season may want to make a quick pitstop to fuel up at their local Hardee’s restaurant. Every Hardee’s restaurant in Arkansas will give a free sausage biscuit to anyone who shows their valid hunting license to the cashier during each restaurant’s normal breakfast hours Thursday, Nov. 10.
South Arkansas Natural Areas offer veterans deer hunts Nov. 12-13

WARREN – Bradley County in southern Arkansas has been renowned for years for the private land hunting and quality deer available to hunters. The public has access to significant acreage and deer as well in the form of Warren Prairie Natural Area Wildlife Management Area, east of the city and the Saline River. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission manages the wildlife on more than 6,200 acres through an agreement with the owner, the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission. A 40-acre parcel of the natural area is owned by The Nature Conservancy-Arkansas and 606 acres are controlled by divided interests.

LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry will hold a special “freezer cleanout day” at the Bass Pro Shops in Little Rock, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sept. 24. Any hunter who wishes to donate processed meat or money to help feed needy families in Arkansas is encouraged to join in the event.
Public meetings scheduled for deer health information

LITTLE ROCK - The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host three meetings in the next month to discuss Arkansas’s deer herd and changes to local deer hunting regulations for portions of the state where chronic wasting disease was detected during the 2021-22 deer season.
