LITTLE ROCK – Thousands of young Arkansas hunters scored the first deer of their hunting careers during last weekend’s youth modern gun deer hunt and tens of thousands of pictures were taken and shared digitally. Memorialize that unforgettable first Arkansas deer with a printable certificate from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

PINE BLUFF – For the 16th consecutive year, the Gov. Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center will host “Boo on the Bayou” in celebration of the fall holiday season. The popular program will be held Oct. 26-27 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

MOUNTAIN VIEW - The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host a special trapping workshop beginning at 9:30 on Sept. 29 at the Mountain View High School Fishing Derby Pond. Anyone interested in learning how to trap predators and other furbearers is welcome to attend and learn more about this interesting outdoor pursuit.

Delta Rivers Nature Center temporarily closed

PINE BLUFF - The main building of the Gov. Mike Huckabee Delta Rivers Nature Center will be closed to the public beginning Sept. 4 to perform maintenance to the center’s displays and infrastructure. The closure is expected to last until Oct. 5.
